As one of Ark's leading Care Support Workers, and Team Leader, in the Bassetlaw area, and highly experienced in the sensitive area of end of life care, Tracey Valance was asked to contribute to the CQC's review of Basstlaw CCG's End of Life Care. Tracey said “I’m a Team Leader and Care Support Worker for Ark in the Bassetlaw area and I recently attended a CQC event in my local area as part of their current review of End of Life Care. It went very well and I was pleased to express how Ark are working closely with the local CCG, community nurses and other health professionals to deliver quality EOL care. My personal experience having worked with many different clients has been extremely positive. I passionately feel that we make a huge difference during such a sad and difficult time, through our support not only of the individual themselves but also the family around them. Ark also offer counselling for us if we need it. This event was very enjoyable and it was good be able to provide positive feedback from the ‘frontline’ of care!”Read More
